Bee

Press to wake it · press again to change its mood

The bee is a 24×24 grid of strings, one character per pixel, drawn as 1×1 <rect>s in an SVG. Each mood is a small patch laid over the face, and React state picks which one shows.

Motion loops y and x on different durations, so its floating path rarely repeats. A setInterval flips the wings every 80ms.

Asleep, bubble frames step every 260ms, and translate() drops the sprite a pixel at the biggest ones to look like breathing.

The bee and its moods are pixel art by erema.pixel. I traced the sprites into the grid and made them move.
